Laura Bispuri is a director and writer, known for Sworn Virgin (2015) and Daughter of Mine (2018), both presented in Official Competition at the Berlinale in 2015 and 2018. Sworn Virgin was an international co-production that received critical acclaim for its powerful storytelling and cross-cultural perspective.

She was awarded the David di Donatello in 2010 for Best Short Film for Passing Time (2010), and the Nastro d’Argento in 2011 for Best Director of the short film Biondina (2011).
