The film “Waterdrop” by director Robert Budina continues its remarkable journey of international success!
Although it has been a year since its international premiere at the Warsaw International Film Festival, the film keeps making waves, featuring in over 30 festivals and being officially selected by Albania for the 2025 Oscars.
This time, the prestigious Alexandria Festival in Egypt has honored the film with two major awards:
Best Actress – Gresa Pallaska
Best Screenplay – Waterdrop
Gresa Pallaska’s mesmerizing and powerful performance has touched hearts, proving that our art speaks the universal language of human emotion.
Screenwriters Robert Budina, Doruntina Basha, and Ajola Daja have given the work a profound dimension, where every word and scene transcends geographic and cultural boundaries.
“Waterdrop” is an international coproduction between Albania (Erafilm), Italy (Redibis Film), Romania (Avanpost), North Macedonia (Manufaktura), and Kosovo (Iliria Film), supported by Creative Europe, SEE Cinema Network, and the National Cinematography Centers of Albania, Kosovo, Italy, and Macedonia.
